Happy Coptic New Year!!
We're approaching the Coptic New Year quickly and that means many things in the Coptic church. Sunday school classes are shifting, most churches celebrate by holding an annual festival that involves several different tasty foods, and we celebrate also by chanting different responses during the liturgy and vespers.
The verse that is chanted for this festive season which takes place from September 11th to September 27th ( 1st of the coptic month Tout to the 17th of the month of Tout) is:
Bless the crown of the year with Your goodness O Lord. the rivers, the springs, the plants, and the crops.
